‘Showcase of Excellence’ is This Saturday at Q.H.S.

It has become a March tradition with "it" being "The Showcase of Excellence" at Quincy Senior High School. For 26 previous years the Music Department at Q.H.S. has invited show choirs and jazz bands of schools from all over the Midwest to perform in an all day event. The 27th annual edition will begin at 8 a.m. this Saturday and will run continuously to approximately 11:30 p.m. Adults can purchase an all-day ticket at the Q.H.S Auditorium door for $12 and students can do likewise for just $8. Ticket holders can come and go as they please throughout the event with the show choirs performing in the Q.H.S. Theatre and the jazz bands performing in the Q.H.S. Gym.

Ticket holders can also vote for the People's Choice Awards in both categories as well. There will also be food available for purchase throughout the day.  All proceeds from the "Showcase of Excellence" support the music programs at all levels of Quincy public schools.
