Uber is an inexpensive and fast way to get to where you need to go. The difference is that Uber drivers are just like you and me. You are basically hiring a driver to pick you up in their personal car and take you to your destination. Uber is used in major cities and is helpful for those who don't know they city that they are in and can get around easier.

According to a report by WGEM, 5th Ward Alderman Jennifer Lepper is pushing to bring the ride sharing option to Quincy—which has caused a lot of excitement on social media. According to the report, Uber is already in several cities much smaller than Quincy.

Currently, anyone can download the Uber app and, if interested, apply to become a driver. With enough interest stemming from the Gem City, who knows? We could be next!

So let us know what you think?
