Salute to Southpaws
The day went by without much fanfare but did you know yesterday was International Left-Hander's Day? With 10% of the population being left-handed we all know someone who is a "southpaw". I am a firm believer that lefty's are smarter than righty's. My brother is left handed and there is no doubt that he is 10 times smarter than I am. There has even been a run on lefty's in the White House too. President Obama, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan,Gerald Ford and Harry Truman are or were left-handed which is quite the statistical anomaly. Being a righthander, I am spoiled in that the world caters to the majority and things that I do conform to me. For left handers, an adjustment needs to be made. Just to shake hands with someone, right-handers lead with the right hand but left-handers have to switch to their right hand to complete a simple handshake. But they are smarter and I am sure can adjust better than us righthanders.
