The 27th Annual Rollin' on The River Blues Festival will be held in Keokuk on Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15. Seven great blues bands will be on the stage during the two day event.

The festival gets underway Friday night with the Mighty Blooze Hounds playing at 6 followed by Anthony Gomes at 7:30 and Bluzillion at 9. On Saturday the Iowa Blues Challenge participant, Mother Ship Blues Band will take to the stage at 5:30 followed by Mississippi Fever at 6:45 and Connie Hawkins and the Blueswreckers will perform at 8:15. The Rollin' on the River Blues Festival will wrap up with Lil' Ed and the Blues Imperials playing at 9:45.

Come with a big appetite as well and the event will also feature some great food and drinks. There will also be Saturday afternoon workshops and activities.  The organizers will also provide free shuttles from Keokuk hotels to the Festival both days. If you donate a used instrument to the Instrument Lending Program you will receive a free weekend pass. Plus all blues fans are encouraged to donate non-perishable food at the gate which will be donated to the New Bethel Church Hope House.

Tickets are $15 for a one day pass or $25 for a two day pass and are available at the gate. Discounted tickets of $22 for both days are available for purchase in advance at Hy-Vee in Keokuk and Ft. Madison and at Meister Music in Keokuk. Blankets and lawn chairs are recommended, but no pets, cans, bottles, coolers, audio or video equipment will be allowed.
