We first introduced you to Jackson, a two-year-old plott hound mix, back in December. He had been with the Quincy Humane Society for nearly two years at the time, making him the facility's longest resident.

But his stay ended this week when Jackson was finally adopted!

He had been adopted and returned twice before and even abandoned once (all before his second birthday), but he now has a family to call his own. I am just extremely happy that he has found a family that will love and take care of him like he deserves.

There are still several animals available for adoption at the Quincy Humane Society. So if you are interested in learning more about the Humane Society's many four-legged friends, contact them at (217) 223-8786 or stop by for a visit (1705 N. 36th St. in Quincy).
