Railroad Closing Quincy Intersection for Repairs

If you drive through the Quincy intersection of 30th and Wismann Lane you might want to re-adjust your route. For the past two weeks signs have been posted saying that intersection will be closed for repair work beginning today (September 16) beginning at 8 a.m.

That particular intersection is also home to Quincy's Amtrak Station. Not knowing the extent off the work involved, Tuesday's Amtrak riders may want to enter the train station on Wismann Lane off of 24th Street or face the possibility of being re-routed.

Information on just how long the repair work will be going on was unavailable as of this writing.
