After announcing that 300 of their stores will be closing, The Children’s Place clothing store in the Quincy Mall is one of those 300 who will be closing their doors. It was announced at the beginning of June that close to 300 stores will be closing, after the retail store took a big hit due to COVID-19. And I am sure like many of you, we all patiently waited to see if the Quincy Mall location would be on the list, and unfortunately they are.

CEO Jane Elfer stated,

We believe that our strong digital foundation, coupled with the rapidly changing shopping patterns of our consumer, partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our strong value proposition and our core, digital-savvy, millennial customer, will result in the continued acceleration of our digital revenue.

There is no word on when the official closing date will be, however the liquidation sale has already started. Better get there soon, the deals are pretty good right now, and you might want to start shopping for back to school clothes.

I am really gonna miss this store, but hoping that the space want to vacant long and a new store will take that place.
