It maybe still some 7 weeks away but the Quincy Gems are gearing up for their 2016 Summer Prospect League baseball season on the field and off.  The Gems are stocking their roster with ballplayers from around the country and here locally as well.  For the fans, they will see some new things this year at Q.U. Stadium including new bathrooms, new bullpens and a Wall of Honor for living and deceased veterans. If you would like to add a veteran's name to the wall you can do so for just $75.  Recently, Y101 Radio talked with Gems owner Jimmy Louthen about his preparation for the new season ahead.

Opening night is May 26 and it will also be Y101 Night at the Ballpark so we will look forward to seeing you there to kick-off the 2016 baseball season. For more information on the Quincy Gems, go to www.quincygems.com.
