When the stay-at-home order was put into place, the Quincy Fire Department stepped up to read bedtime stories to kiddos who just needed a little fun, and something to do. Well, the QFD will be bringing those bedtime stories back for a few dates in October and December.

Announced on the QFD Facebook page, the department will be bringing back bedtime stories just in time for Halloween and Christmas. The Halloween themed reading will take place from October 26 through October 31, and the Christmas themed reading will be December 11 through December 25.

>Plus, an extra bonus, The QFD mascot Sparky will be joining in for a few "Sparky Shorts." These bedtime stories were really successful when all of the kids were home and stuck, so to see that the department is bringing them back is really great.

I know my girls enjoyed listening to the stories and being a part of the reading group, even though it wasn't in person. So, a big shout out to the department for bringing back bedtime stories, and I hope that they continue this a few times a year and start a new tradition for kids.
