The annual city-wide clean up date has been set by the City of Quincy for Saturday, September 26. Items can be dropped off at the usual Front Street and Payson Avenue location from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All vehicles through the intersection of 4th and Payson by 4 p.m. will be accepted. All others will be turned away so it is important to get there early if you have items to be disposed of.  The line will form on Payson Avenue and you are asked to go to the end of the line as you arrived that day.

All people using the drop off site must be a resident of Quincy and must show ID as well.  Listed below are some of the regulations for the day:

  • No Commercial Haulers will be allowed into the cleanup.
  • Trucks with trailers will be directed to use the far left lane.
  • Please insure that you bring help to unload your materials as Republic Services is there to operate trucks and not to unload.
  • NO ELECTRONICS (TV’s/Computers)
  • NO TIRES
  • NO YARD WASTE
  • NO LIQUIDS (OIL/FUEL/PAINT/ETC)
  • Due to State and Federal Regulations, any appliances, which contained refrigerants (i.e.: refrigerators, air conditioners and dehumidifiers), must have a sticker placed on it certifying that the refrigerant has been properly reclaimed.
