Q.F.D. to Host Fire Prevention Week Kickoff Event at the Mall

This Sunday the Quincy Fire Department will host their annual Fire Prevention Week Kickoff in conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week at the Quincy Mall parking lot. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. near Bergner's. There will be a series of activities for children including the Fire Safety House.

Sparky the Fire dog will also be in attendance.  The main event will be a live burn which will take place at 2 p.m. for all to witness how quickly a fire can expand in a home.
