Don't get me wrong, I love to carve pumpkins, but my kids seem to get the pumpkin crud EVERYWHERE. It's even been on my kitchen ceiling, but Frericks is providing a much cleaner way to decorate your pumpkin, well kinda.

The annual pumpkin painting is this Saturday at Frericks (3400 N. 12th) in Quincy. The painting will begin at 10 AM and go to 3 PM. There will also be a bounce house for the kids, refreshments and snacks.

Frericks will also be donating 20% of all sales to Special Olympics, so this would be a perfect time to get mums, or any other gifts you might need for fall. Not only will you get to have a new pumpkin decoration for your house, you will be helping a great cause as well. I know it may not seem like fall weather, but this weekend it's going to be somewhat nice and a good time to get out of the house and do something fun with the kids.
