As we enter the final month of the year, the crush is on to make sure that letters, cards and packages get to the destination in time for Christmas. With that in mind the United States Postal Service has announced their Crunch-Time Calendar dates for mailing items to insure prompt delivery by Christmas.

For First-Class Mail to arrive by December 24, it must be mailed by December 20. The 20 of December is also the last date for Priority Mail to arrive in time for Christmas. If you are a real procrastinator, you have until December 23 to drop off any Priority Mail Express items for delivery on the 24 of December.

Any overseas mailing should be done as soon as possible. Obviously, it would be better to mail earlier than those dates to avoid a last minute crush at the Post Office.
