I love the city of Chicago and I cannot WAIT to visit this weekend. Although I will be there for my niece's high school graduation, there are some places I want to take the girls so we can do a little sightseeing. I did a little research and found that buzzfeed.com published a road map to the perfect mother-daughter weekend in Chicago which, for the most part, is pretty spot on.

I mean, who doesn't love shopping on The Magnificent Mile? I love visiting shop after shop of pure shopping happiness. A few of my favorites are Dylan's Candy Shoppe, Water Tower Place, and the Nike Store. For now, my girls have not been aware of the American Girl store. But it's only a matter of time before they discover it and want a doll.

We'll of course be hitting up Navy Pier and maybe catching a show in one of the many theatres. My daughter, Ava and I went to see Aladdin last year and it was amazing. If it's nice out, we'll be visiting the Bean at Millennium Park or the fountain at Grant Park.

And I'll take a minute here to remind you that you can go for FREE on the Amtrak through our current contest (click here for more information).

Planning your mother-daughter weekend also depends on the age of your kiddos. So do a little digging to plan your trip well, and most importantly, have fun!
