There is a petition going around to make it easier on parents wanting to take their kids trick-or-treating on Halloween.

The folks behind Halloween and Costume Association believe that Halloween should be moved from October 31 to the last Saturday in October. That way, kids could stay out longer, enjoy trick-or-treating, and parents won't have cranky kiddos in the morning.

I'm gonna be honest...I kinda like the idea.

By the time I get home, get the kids dressed in their costumes and apply their face paint or makeup, it's close to 6:00 pm (and that's if I hurry). That really doesn't give much time for trick-or-treating when they have to be in bed by 8:00 for school the next day. The Halloween and Costume Association recognizes the stress it puts on parents and has created a petition for President Trump to sign to officially make Halloween a weekends only event.

Just think, if this is moved parents won't have to rush home, grab a quick dinner (hopefully), get costumes ready, and rush out. It would allow more time for pictures and would quite frankly be a lot more fun. Ahhh memories!

If you would like to sign the petition, you can do so at the Halloween and Costume Associations website.
