The Hannibal Jaycees Haunted House will open on Friday, October 2. Volunteers are needed to help pull of this year's haunted house, and the Jaycees will be holding an open casting call on Sunday.

According to Chris Powell, the chairman of the 2015 Hannibal Jaycees Haunted House, actors and makeup artists are needed. These are volunteer positions only. Proceeds from the Hannibal Jaycees Haunted House are given back to the Hannibal community. "Last year we sponsored three families, and we gave three families a Christmas that wouldn't normally have a Christmas. We bought their Christmas dinner, we bought Mom and Dad gifts, we bought the kids gifts, and that's something that the Haunted House is able to do. Without the community's help, without the Haunted House, the Jaycees wouldn't be able to do it."

The casting call for this year's haunted house will take place from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 27 at the Hannibal Jaycees Haunted House, 320 South Third in Hannibal. If you'd like to find out more, contact warehouseofnightmares@gmail.com, or visit the Hannibal Jaycees Haunted House on Facebook.

The Hannibal Jaycees Haunted House will be open each Friday and Saturday night in October, including Halloween night, from 7:30 to midnight. Admission is $10 per person. Season passes are available for $50. No children under the age of 5 can be admitted to the house, and all children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Haunted house visitors will also have the option to purchase a ticket on the Haunted Trolley in 2015. That pass will get visitors admission to the Hannibal Jaycees Haunted House, Haunted Hollow Haunted Trail in Palmyra, and the Pops Club Haunted Woods, in addition to transportation to each haunted attraction on a "haunted trolley."
