No Change of Venue for Lovelace Murder Trial

A change of venue motion for the first degree murder trial of Curtis Lovelace is denied. Judge Bob Hardwick made the decision following a July 8 hearing in Cass County.

Lovelace is accused of killing his first wife Cory Lovelace by suffocating her on February 14, 2006. Attorneys for Lovelace filed for the venue change claiming their client has received too much negative publicity in area media.

The trial is scheduled to start September 21 in Adams County.
