Looks like historic downtown Hannibal may soon be the home to a new bed and breakfast.

According to WGEM, the new B&B--the Travelers Rooming House--will be located in the middle of downtown Hannibal and may start a new B&B trend in America's Hometown.

This building, located next to Java Jive. was built in the 1800s and was originally used as a rooming house. The new owner bought the building back in 2008 with a vision to one day bring a downtown B&B back to Hannibal.

I have never stayed at a B&B, but I must say, this one has definitely piqued my interest. I may have to swing by when they host their open house on December 22. Much like the Meriam Mansion in Quincy, I am really happy to see these historic iconic buildings come back to to its original look. Take a look inside to see what the new B&B will look like.
