The Tri-State Fundraising Professionals are hosting a unique event at the Quincy Public Library that many of you might find beneficial (and it’s for a good cause!)

On May 1, area attorneys will be on hand to assist members of the community draft their wills. And it’s all free of charge, with a small stipulation. Those in attendance can receive all the help they need for free providing they put at least one charity in their will as a beneficiary.

According to the release, nearly 60 percent of adults in the United States do not have a will.

“When you are young or in good health, you don’t think about needing a will,” said Director of Development at Good Samaritan Home Burgundy Ramsey in a release. “Our goal with this event is to make the process accessible to all people.”

Participants are free to choose any charity as a beneficiary, though it is suggested that you check ahead of time to ensure that you are listing the charity correctly and that your contribution is allocated appropriately.

Time slots are limited and pre-registration for the event is required. For more information or to register, contact writeyourwill18@gmail.com or call 217-231-5694.
