Just when you thought things were cooling off and summer was coming to an end, the temperature once again started to climb. The forecast is calling for things to be pretty warm up through the weekend, with highs each day in the 90s. When it gets warm like this, it's pretty hard to beat a good milkshake. Who are we kidding? Milkshakes are good anytime! Do you have a favorite place for a milkshake?

I was craving a vanilla milkshake recently, and pulled into the nearest fast food drive-thru on my way home to get one. It was OK, but not great. Don't get me wrong, I finished it, but I've had better. I started thinking about local places that do have really good shakes. The list I came up with off the top of my head ended up being fairly long. A quick internet search of local restaurant menus revealed that there are places around the area that serve milkshakes I never would have thought about. Of course, that means I'll have to try them at each of those places. You know, in the interest of research.

Because the list of restaurants that serves milkshakes is enormous, I know we don't have all of them listed as choices on the milkshake poll below. We don't want to leave anyone out, but it's nearly impossible to find every single place. If you don't see your favorite milkshake establishment on the list, be sure to write them in.

Do your best to stay cool over the next several days. Remember, snow will start flying before you know it, then you'll be wishing for 90 degree days!
