One of the most famous real estate mysteries in Missouri has to do with Nelly and the mansion he appeared to abandon years ago. There's a new video that has a theory as to why the beautiful building was never his home.

I just saw this YouTube short shared today from someone who claims they once explored Nelly's abandoned St. Louis, Missouri mansion. It includes a theory as to why he never made it his long term home.

The video on YouTube claims that Nelly purchased it for his sister several years ago and was working on renovating it for her. That renovation was never complete and it does not appear Nelly or any of his family lived there for any lengthy of time if at all after she tragically passed away.

Realtor.com reported that Nelly's mansion was finally sold a couple years ago. No word on what the current owners have done or plan to do with it. But, at least now it appears we have a logical answer as to why he bought this grand mansion in the first place. Seems like it was maybe all in the (Nelly) family that unfortunately had a very sad ending.
