Marry Me Monday Winner

June 5 has been a memorable date for Mike and Kim Whitaker of LaBelle, Missouri. They both share the same birthday and became co-workers, friends, engaged and married with the marriage taking place on, you got it, June 5.It was their story submitted to us that we used this morning on the latest edition of Marry Me Monday on Y101 Radio.

Because they were kind enough to send us their story and we used it on the air that they are this week's recipients of a gift certificate from Emerald City Jewelers in Quincy.

Here is the story as submitted by Kim:

Well, my husband and I met at work in 1995 working in the Sheriff's Office as dispatchers. We became friends and hung out, went to movies and such. We discovered that we both share our birthday on June 5th. Well, one night on the phone, which happened to be leap day, I proposed to Mike. He said yes and on our birthday, June 5th, 2003 we finally got married. Now 10 years later we are still happily married. "
