Too much rain and an uncertain weather forecast have forced the Marion County Relay for Life to move its event indoors on Friday, June 7.  The event is typically held at Flower City Park, but this year it's at the Palmyra High School gym.

The fun kicks off at 5 p.m. June 7, with booths, games and an enormous inflatable obstacle course.  The Survivor's Dinner will be served until 7:00.  The official opening ceremonies of the Marion Co. Relay is at 6:45 p.m. with the closing ceremony at 11:00. I have the privilege to emcee the event again this year, and we expect the crowd to run into the hundreds.

The Marion County Relay for Life event is one of the top relay fundraisers in the nation for the American Cancer Society.  The Palmyra Flower Children team alone has raised more than one million dollars over the years.  The money supports A.C.S. programs, research and support for cancer patients and survivors.
