One of my favorite plays is coming to The Quincy Community Theatre: Mamma Mia! Auditions for Mamma Mia are coming up soon, so if you're thinking about hitting the stage, here's everything you need to know first.

Mamma Mia! is a play about a young woman who is trying to find out who her biological father is so he can walk her down the aisle for her wedding. Not knowing who he is, she sends letters to three different men who she thinks could be her father. The story then takes you on fun ride based to the soundtrack of the classic disco group, ABBA.

Auditions will take place May 14-15 at the Quincy Community Theatre (inside the Oakley-Lindsey Center). The play requires several men and women ages 18 and older and no theatre experience is required. Auditions will be by appointment only and there will also be a dance call audition on May 16.

QCT is also offering a Mamma Mia! audition workshop that will help you get more insight to the characters and the music in the play. That workshop will happen on May 12 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. It is free to those who want to audition for a part. If you are needing more information about Mamma Mia! auditions check out the Quincy Community Theatre's website.

This is one of my favorite plays and favorite movies (sequel comes out this summer!) and I cannot wait to see it here in Quincy!
