Due to health and safety of the Lewis Country community, the Lewis County Fair Board announced today that they are cancelling the fair for 2020.

The cancellation was posted om the fair's Facebook Page. There were other reasons factoring in for the cancellation, guidelines from the Missouri Health Department & CDC, the carnival's cancellation, and the guidelines set forth from the 4-H board.

In the coming weeks, the Lewis County Fair Board will reevaluate and try to make it possible for 4-H members to be able to show off their projects that they have worked so hard for these past few months.

I can't say that I am surprised, this summer there are several events and fairs that have cancelled, and unfortunately, I think there are many more to come. We do know that the Marion County Fair is set for August, and as of right now there is no word on the Adams County Fair.
