What was this driver's last job, before getting behind the wheel of a taxi?

A passenger in a taxi tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him something. The drive screamed, lost control of the cab and nearly hit a bus, and drove up over a curb, stopping just inches from a large plate glass window.

For a few moments, everything was silent in the cab. Then the driver said, "please, don't ever do that again. You scared the daylights out of me, ma'am."

The lady passenger was also frightened. She apologized and said, "didn't mean to tap you on the shoulder and frighten you like that."

The driver replied, "I'm sorry, it's really not your fault at all. Today's my first day driving a cab. I've been driving a hearse for the last 25 years."
