Jared Keim's rapid rise to fame in the music industry just took the Express Lane. Keim is a Palmyra, Missouri native and a member of the band Restless Road. The popular trio recently had the opportunity to open for Demi Lovato at concerts in Sioux Falls, SD, and Moline, IL. The opportunity for Restless Road came about rather quickly thanks to new manager, Johnny Wright.

"Demi's manager and our manager have connections and Demi invited us on," Keim said. "She was a judge the season that the guys were on X-Factor so she already kind of knew them. We found out last minute and threw a show together with a cover song and three originals."

Being newcomers to the music scene, Keim wondered how they would be received by the crowds, which neared 7000 people at the Moline show. "We didn't know how the crowd would respond to our original stuff," Keim said. "But they freaking loved it. They went wild!"

It's back to the studio for the band for now. Keim says he hopes they'll have a new album completed by the beginning of 2015. The hard work in the studio should eventually lead to more live performances. "We love the stuff we're doing in the studio," said Keim. "But we love being on stage in front of people even more. Being in front of people who don't know you, people that are convinced they won't like you, and people that maybe do know us.

"We really think that we can change a lot of minds and prove ourselves when we get the chance to."
