It’s National Chicken Wing Day!

Happy National Chicken Wing Day everyone! It's one of America's favorite appetizers.

It's also gone through quite a revolution since they were first served at a restaurant in 1964 in Buffalo, NY.  The founding of deep fried and sauced wings in Buffalo obviously gave wings their original name as you've deduced by now.  But did you know that the original salesman of buffalo sauce was a guy named Dick Winger? He's largely responsible for wings catching on around the country.

We have so many great options for wings in our area. In Hannibal, some of the top sellers are Rumor Has It Bar and Grill, Drakes, and Finn's. In Quincy, some popular options are Riverside Smokehouse, Native Grill and Wings, and Chick's on the River. That's by no means an exhaustive list. The many varieties of wings and sauces are available everywhere.
