It’s Hogback Weekend!

The Quinsippi Yacht Club has some fun for you August 23 beginning at 11 a.m.

Hogback Island 2014 is coming and the event is open to the public, but keep in mind that Hogback is only accessible by boat. There will be games, and you can even buy a Hogback t-shirt.

The proceeds from this annual event will help fund boating safety projects, like the free loaner life jacket program with the Quincy Park District. This event has been going on for many years. Some people have even said their wedding vows on the sandy beach of Hogback. And yes, through the years, many parties have sprung up from time to time at Hogback.

For those who do not know, Hogback Island is on Mile Marker 332 on the Mississippi, just north of Quincy.
