Is It Too Early To Think About Halloween?

As I write this on August 27, 2014, I am thinking about Halloween. Is that bad?

No it is not, because over the weekend I did see a guy walking down Broadway in Quincy wearing a Halloween Mask. I don't know why (and maybe I don't want to know), but  I saw him - or her -with a costume on. And of course, where did I see this? On a corner here in Quincy and he - or she - went into a bar.

OK, so they are starting early this year. But how early is too early? I don't know, but I did get an idea when I saw this. I have always wanted to get a crane and a HUGE pumpkin and do what some other radio guys do around the nation. I want to drop a HUGE pumpkin from a crane and see how far the farthest piece of pumpkin would fly. Maybe we could give out prizes. What do you think? The TV stations would love it.
