These were chosen as the WORST tourist attractions in our states...

Obviously there are plenty of amazing tourist attractions in Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri, from the Sears Tower and the iconic Chicago Skyline, to The Gateway Arch in St. Louis, and the Worlds Largest Truck Stop in Iowa. But for every great tourist attraction there is a not so great one. And according to the website alotliving.com (click here to see the list) here our the worst tourist attractions in our states...

In Iowa the site says the worst attraction is- The Future Birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk. The website says...

"You know your town is in trouble when its only significance is that it's the birthplace of a fictional character. In Riverside, Iowa, Trekkies can locate the "Future Birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk" marker with the date March 22, 2228."

In Missouri the site says the worst attraction is- Ozarkland in Kingdom City. The website says...

"You can find candy, hats, shirts, jewelry, Moccasins, fireworks, and plenty of touristy souvenirs that will really let your campy flag fly.  You can come to Ozarkland if you need a place to waste away your next paycheck..."

In Illinois the site says the worst tourist attraction is- Woodstock, the town where Groundhog day with Bill Murray was filmed. The website says...

" If you are a huge fan of the film, you'll probably get a little kick out of being there. Unfortunately, there's not much to do. There is certainly no Bill Murray nor a Groundhog. You can, however, check out an ugly mural dedicated to the movie."

I grew up in Crystal Lake, Illinois which is about 15 mins from Woodstock, and yes it is a cute little town that is very proud of the fact that Groundhog day was filmed there, but people from Woodstock come to Crystal Lake to have fun sooo ya its pretty boring. If these are the worst in our states, what is the best tourist attraction in our states?
