Today is the International House of Pancakes “free pancake day”. This year’s theme is “Flip it forward for kids”.  For the 14th year, IHOP will be giving away free pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to anyone who wants them. The deal is based on a short stack per person. All recipients of pancakes are not charged but are asked to make a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Shriners Hospitals for Children. Last year the chain raised $4 million.

IHOP will also be selling a $5 wall icon supporting the charity between now and end of day with a coupon for a future visit awarded to all who make a purchase. Donations made for the cause will be accepted by IHOP through March 31.  The Quincy IHOP is located at 33rd and Broadway.
