After months of "one lane in, one lane out", the Memorial Bridge in Quincy is set to reopen.

According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, the older of the two bridges connecting Quincy and West Quincy is slated to open on Monday, October 10. The bridge closure, which began in May, was originally planned to last until only August. But as workers began repairs, it was apparent that more repairs were necessary.

The Bayview Bridge will be reduced to one lane until October 14 as workers re-stripe and seal the bridge.
