I Need To Be A Fisherman

This past weekend I was the MC for the Golden Eagle Buddy Bass Tournament. It is always held at Black Jack Marina on Mark Twain Lake. Fishermen from all over the Midwest come to this for the fun, the fishing and the money. I have been the MC for many years now, and it is always a great time.

This year was extra special as Golden Eagle Distributing Company celebrated 30 years of the Buddy Bass Tourney, and it will return next year to Mark Twain Lake for year number 31. That is great news because there was talk of it ending, but it is too dug in now to quit. This fishing tournament gives back to the Mark Twain Lake area with money that helps with schools, organizations and other needs for the area.That is why I am so proud to be a part of it.

But here is the deal, I need to start fishing. Sunday was money day at Mark Twain Lake when all the fishermen gathered at Black Jack Marina to try to catch the big bass. Yesterday, the grand prize winners were two guys that have been fishing the lake for many years. They brought in some of the biggest bass fish I have ever seen! And what did they win just for fishing? Four Thousand Dollars!

I have got to get me a fishing pole!
