The Palmyra Chamber of Commerce will be hosting two events on June 13. The main event is called "Howdy Neighbor Day," and will feature food vendors, craft booths, a flea market, farmers market, antique tractor show, historic jail tours, bed races and more. The Marion County Courthouse square will be the location for the event.

The second event is the Flag Day parade, which will begin at 10AM at Palmyra High School and will go north on Main Street to the courthouse. A special flag raising ceremony will follow the parade by the American Legion and local Boy Scouts.

This will be the first "Howdy Neighbor Day," but the Chamber plans to make this an annual event.
