How Would You Like to Be Paid $4 Million to Shut up

In a day when people are living from paycheck to paycheck just to get by it is hard to read a story like the one I read yesterday. Apparently NBC-TV is going to pay David Gregory $4 million, that's right $4 million, to not discuss his exit from NBC's 'Meet the Press' program. With that said, I wonder what Matt Schmidt must be thinking.

Matt just left WGEM-TV for a position with the Salvation Army at the Kroc Center. Matt announced he was leaving to allow him more time with his family. I wonder, if Matt would have just left without saying why, how many millions would he have gotten? Just saying!

Seriously Matt, you did a great job at WGEM and you will be missed. Good luck with your new position.
