So here we are in post-season for Major League Baseball. That means it is time for me to check just how right or wrong I was about my pre-season picks made during Spring Training time.  So here goes.... In the National League I selected the New York Mets to win the East.  Wrong! The Atlanta Braves were this year's winner. In the Central, I chose the Milwaukee Brewers. Wrong by 2 games. The St. Louis Cardinals were the  winners.  The west was won by the Los Angeles Dodgers as I selected. My wild card selections were The Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs. So of the 5 teams I selected to make the post-season I managed to get three of them correct.

In the American League I chose the New York Yankees to win the East. The Minnesota Twins to win the Central and the Houston Astros to win the West.  All three did just that. My wild card picks were the Tampa Bay Rays and the Boston Red Sox. The Rays made it but the Red Sox did not, so I got 4 out of 5 correct.

So picking 7 of 10 teams correctly certainly doesn't make me a guru, but I will take the 70% accuracy rate. Now I can only hope I am 100% correct in my March pick of the Cardinals and Yankees to meet in the World Series for the first time since 1964. By the way, I have the Yankees winning it all.  Time will tell.
