Have you Enrolled in Illinois’ Emergency Contact Database?
One day you are driving along and you lose control of your vehicle or someone else does and runs right into you and your car. You are left unconscious and law enforcement as well as first responders need information about you to enhance your immediate treatment. If you don't have an emergency contact on you, it could cost your life. Decisions need to be made and made soon. If you had enrolled in Illinois' Emergency Contact Database, your contacts could relay that needed information immediately.
The Emergency Data base is a free program offered by the Illinois Secretary of State. Any person with an Illinois Driver's License and /or an Identification Card can register two contacts for law enforcement to use in case of an emergency. This is a voluntary program and you are not required to enroll but are encouraged to participate.
In the event you cannot speak for yourself, law enforcement can access your information and contact the people you have listed. To enroll in this program, go to www.cyberdriveillinois.com and click on the Emergency Contact Database link listed under "Online Services".
