The council Tuesday night approved requesting $325,000 in CARES Act funds from the Marion County Commission.

The money will help the city offset first responder wages since the beginning of the pandemic.

The council also gave a first reading to approving an annexation request to bring the Robinson Cemetery, east of 1200 Clark Street, into the city.

A second reading on the request is scheduled for August 18th.
