Superintendent Susan Johnson announced Tuesday the Hannibal Middle School will be closed starting Thursday through the end of Thanksgiving break.

Johnson cites continued shortages in substitute teachers as the reason for the closure.

During the closure, students will move to distance learning, with attendance monitored and grades given.

Meanwhile, the middle school building will be deep cleaned, quarantines will expire, and preparations will go forward for in person learning at the middle school to resume November 30th.

Extracurricular activities will continue but will be closely monitored.
