For a decade, the Hannibal Jaycees massive haunted house has scared the jeepers out of its visitors.  As it comes back for its 11th season, there is a new option for the faint of heart.

The Jaycees have added a Safety Zone to the Warehouse of Nightmares. If scary stuff isn't your thing, you can stay behind in the Zone while the rest of your party explores the halls of terror. The big white tent offers tame Halloween-themed movies plus free popcorn and hot chocolate.

The Warehouse of Nightmares opens its doors for the first time the weekend of September 27-28 with limited hours of 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Every Friday and Saturday night in October the haunted house will run from 7:30 until midnight.  The final weekend is November 1st and 2nd.

The Warehouse of Nightmares is a huge venue of horror that the Jaycees have changed and improved on every year.  It's located at 320 S. Main Street in historic downtown Hannibal. It costs $10 per visit, but for $20 you can also take part in two escape room experiences and play zombie paintball.
