Finally! We can now hang out at Hannibal's most popular hang-out spot.  Java Jive is now fully open for dine-in after months of quarantine.  The Main Street coffee shop, bakery and deli has been offering curbside service, but the dining area has been closed.  Today, Java Jive opened its doors and welcomed folks back inside.

Over the last 20 years, Java Jive has evolved into the hub of downtown Hannibal activity.  Locals gather and gab over their morning coffee.  Moms meet here for muffins while the kids are at school.  Business deals are made over deli sandwiches. Teenagers meet up with their friends and cram for exams over a glass of chai tea. At any time, some patron may strike up a tune on the piano. Some nights you'll hear poetry readings or some folksy guitar player strumming. All day long, tourists wander in chatting up the customers, asking for directions, and enjoying the eclectic atmosphere.

Some construction is still going on at Java Jive in the back half of the dining room. The owners are also building another bathroom.  Otherwise, it's business as usual.  Summer hours are 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, Java Jive is open from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.
