Hannibal Could Get A Hometown Makeover (VIDEO)

The HGTV show Home Town Takeover is generating a lot of buzz and plenty of stiff competition.  Several area towns have submitted an application for a the popular TV show to stage a makeover of their town.  Hannibal slid under the wire to apply before the deadline.

The Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce put together a 4 1/2 minute video they hope will wow the producers to pick America's Hometown.  See the video below...

Last month, we told you how Pittsfield, IL and Monroe City, MO took on the project to lobby for a Home Town Takeover. Since then, several other communities in our area also sent in applications.

Towns with a population of less than 40,000 are eligible for the contest.  The HGTV  show is specifically looking for a Main Street that needs revitalization. They're also taking into consideration homes with great architecture and businesses that could use a face-lift.
