Mattingly Romanin has become a well-known figure on the baseball diamond. Unfortunately for him, it took a kick in the head from a wayward skydiver to become a household name.

Romanin, the starting shortstop for the Prospect League's Hannibal Cavemen, took a blow to the head from the skydiver, who was delivering the game ball in a pregame celebration at Hannibal's Clemens Field Saturday night.

Video of the incident (see below) has spread rapidly in this viral age. The video has been viewed well over 150,000 times and the story has been featured on cbssports.com, foxsports.com, usatoday.com, among dozens of others, including a website in Hungary.

Just minutes after the collision, Romanin, a junior at Chicago State University and from Burlington, Ontario, was up on his feet and played in the game against the Terre Haute Rex. Romanin has since been experiencing headaches and it is feared he may have a concussion.

Hopefully the concussion symptoms diminish and Romanin can get back to his "normal" baseball career soon.
