One of the area’s largest employers will be hosting a job fair this Wednesday, April 24! The Good Samaritan Home is looking to hire about 20 RN’s, LPN’s, and CNA’s to join their staff of over 325 people.

The shortage in the nursing field is becoming critical. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that there will be 1 million vacancies for registered nurses nationwide by 2024. Locally, healthcare providers are already feeling that strain.

“Being able to provide quality care totally relies on the staff we have,” said Burgandy Ramsey, the Good Samaritan Director of Development and Public Relations . “Staff shortages are certainly a consideration as we think about long-term planning and future services.”

Good Samaritan Home hopes to combat those shortages with a job fair to attract qualified candidates. The job fair and onsite interviews will be from 3 to 7 pm on Wednesday, April 24 at the home. Good Samaritan Home is offering up to a $2,000 hiring bonus for qualified candidates that evening, as well as new competitive wages and excellent benefits.
