Golden Eagle And Hannibal Jaycees Donate to Honor Flight
It was a great time at the Admiral Coontz Armory in Hannibal back on February 21. I don't know where all the people came from but they did show up for the 32nd Annual Chilli Cook Off. Many people came to have a good time but also to support the Great River Honor Flight.
Our friends at WGEM were there to help us celebrate a total of $4,012.85 being raised. Thanks go to Michael Reisenbeck, manager of Golden Eagle Distributing and Jason Gregory, brand development manager of Golden Eagle Distributing. Game On and Drakes Steak and Ale - two of the event’s commercial division winners - also donated their winnings back to the Honor Flight.
The Great River Honor Flight is a program that provides no-cost flights to Washington, DC for local military veterans who served in World War II, Vietnam or Korea to visit the war memorials that commemorate their service.
