Tonight the Quincy Gems open the Prospect League's best of three Championship Series against the West Virginia Miners. Game one is set for 7:05 (EDT) in Beckley, West Virginia. A win on the road would be huge in that games 2 and 3, if necessary, will be played in Quincy this Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Both home games are set for 6:35 start times.

The Gems advanced to the championship series sweeping Springfield by scores of 9 to 4 and 5 to 1.  The Miners advanced after sweeping Kokomo by scores of 3 to 1 and 10 to 2.

The Gems will be gunning for their 4th Prospect League championship while the Miners will be looking for their second title. Tickets for games in Quincy are available at Q.U. Stadium with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for students and seniors.
