The Friends of the Log Cabins Board has scheduled a workday for this Saturday, October 25 starting around 8:30 a.m. and finishing around noon to work on the structures and ground in the Log Cabin Village. The Log Cabin Village, located in Quinsippi Island Park, can be accessed via All America Park off of Bonansinga Drive (Front Street) in Quincy.

Projects to be worked on include clearing out the weeds and overgrowth from the area where the Clat Adams Log Cabin was, re-installing the plexiglass windows in the Log Church; chinking (filling in openings with a special mixture) any openings in the walls of the Herleman and Hull Log Cabins to keep the snow and rain out, straightening up the south wall of the Log Corn Crib and straightening up the south wall of the Hull Log Cabin.

Volunteers are asked to wear gloves and old clothes.  Volunteers can show up anytime after 8:30, as the work will be on going throughout the morning.  You can  email logcabinvillage@hotmail.com if you have any questions or if you have a group that would like to help.
