This Friday will mark the beginning of the 2020 Free Fishing Days in Illinois.  The great family event runs through this Monday, June 22.

Free Fishing Days is a four-day celebration of fishing in Illinois when anglers can fish without purchasing a fishing license, salmon stamp or inland trout stamp.

For years now, the Quincy Park District and Townsquare Media have also presented the free "Fishing Rodeo" at Moorman Park Lake for all ages to participate. Unfortunately, this event has been cancelled by the Park District due to COVID-19.

The Fishing Derby may have been cancelled, but the summer Fishing Clinics are still being held. The fishing clinics are designed for beginners to seasoned veterans. The Park District provides instructors with a wide range of fishing knowledge, including safety tips.
