Hannibal’s third annual Brew Skies Music Festival looks to be a big one. This year, the festival is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Woodstock and they’re even putting on a concert by an original Woodstock performer.

Melanie Safka (known more commonly as simply “Melanie”) will perform at the Mark Twain Cave and Campground on Friday June 7 at 7:00 pm to kick off the weekend festival. Melanie is best known for her folksy hits “Ruby Tuesday” and the roller rink favorite “Brand New Key”. Known as "The First Lady of Woodstock" (also the title of her biography), Melanie was only 22 when she took the stage at the historic Woodstock. She joined Joan Baez and Janis Joplin as the only solo female performers of the festival.

And for good measure, here's a very cool video of a performance from a couple years back with Miley Cyrus!
